History of Lindum Fire Services Ltd

 

Lindum fire was formed in 1992 and has grown steadily ever since.

 

We now have teams of engineers covering all over the United Kingdom and have a turnover in the region of  £1.25m

Lindum Fire Services was started by Brum Matthews in 1992, after working for Chubb Fire for 13 years and being disillusioned by their Sell-Sell-Sell and target obsessed corporate attitude.

 

Brum and wife Pat worked tirelessly to build a reputation second to none within the fire industry, such is the quality and service  Lindum Fire offers  that hundreds of Chubb’s customers transferred their maintenance contracts to Lindum Fire and are still with us to this day. 

 

In 2002 Lindum Fire Services Ltd, was going through a massive  expansion and Tom Brookes came aboard Lindum Fire Services Ltd at Director level, and soon took over the push to grow Lindum Fire Services into the largest fire protection company in Lincolnshire.

 

TODAY

As we enter our 15th Year, we are still growing beyond our expectations and have yet again doubled our turnover year on year. We now have some of the biggest and prestigious companies in the UK in our portfolio  such as UPS ( United Parcel Services), Lynx Express, Rockingham Castle, Premier Foods, HMP Lincoln, HMP Morton Hall,  to name a few, “Are you missing out”.

 

We are now more than ever providing a cost effective  one stop shop for our customers, from their Fire Risk Assessment to supplying a Fire Alarm System, Fire Extinguisher, Fire Training and then maintaining their new and existing equipment.

 

All staff are fully trained and sit qualifications within their field of work,

· BFPSA courses and tests for Fire Alarm Engineers

· Feta exams for Fire Extinguisher Engineers

· ICEL for Emergency  Light Engineers

· NEBOSH GEN FIRE for Fire Risk Assessments

· City and Guilds 2391 for electrical installers.

· Electrical Contractor Association

 

We have invested heavily in new vehicles and staff training and accreditation this year giving us the edge on some of the less conscientious service providers, who are beginning to slip up by not having third party accreditation and proof of competence as required by the fire reform order Law from October 2006. 

 

THE FUTURE

Lindum Fire Services Ltd intends to continue its expansion in all areas, A big growth is with multi national companies and we feel this will carry on this year as more become wise to the fact that some of these large companies are just not  looking after them as well as they should.

Its likely that we will double out turnover once again this year.

We have just been awarded the British Standard Kitemark for our Fire Alarm (Design/ Install/ Commissioning and Maintenance) and  hopefully we will be gaining our ISO 9001 this year which will put us head and shoulders above the competition.
