We are a fully third party accredited BAFE SP203 Company in the Design, Installation,
Commissioning and Maintenance of Fire Systems and is this an Insurance recommendation
of a number of national insurance companies and The Chief Fire Officers Association.

DESIGN

Lindum Fire Services Ltd design team have many years experience in fire alarm design
in a wide range of buildings and applications. All of our nominated designers have attended
training courses in Fire Detection Design and are fully conversant with the requirements of BS5839-1 and BS5839-6.

Our design processes are in accordance with the requirements of SP203 and consider the
appropriate standards and regulatory requirements of other interested parties including local
building control authorities, fire brigade officers and insurers.

Our designs also consider potential false alarm issues and incorporate measures to reduce disruption following system commissioning.

Throughout the installation, commissioning and handover process the original design is verified in
order that the completed system is fit for purpose.

INSTALLATION

Once the new system design has been agreed, we will arrange a suitable time for our trained
engineers to come and install it.

From fire-proof cabling, to heat and smoke detection, manual call points and bells and sounders,
we will install and programme the entire system with expert care and attention. Every new installation
comes with a FREE parts and labour warranty for a year.

We currently install fire detection systems for a variety of well known companies within the private
and public sector. Whatever size or type of business you are in, we have the knowledge and
experience to install the right system for you.

COMMISSIONING

Fire Alarm Systems have to be commissioned to verify that they have been correctly installed,
tested and comply with British Standards and legal obligations.

Lindum Fire Services include testing and commissioning in our overall estimate, to make sure
there are no additional costs or hidden surprises.

For systems that have been installed by an electrician or another contractor, we offer a
commissioning service to test and certify that the system meets the required standards.

MAINTENANCE

The regulatory Reform Fire Safety order 2005 requires that your fire system must be maintained
by a competent person or company twice per year, to ensure that it will perform to its optimum
level in the event of a fire. The British Standards and BAFE SP203 also recommend that a system
is tested and maintained at no longer than six monthly periods, more in high risk or problem locations.
